Product Description

Wireline Impregnated Diamond Core Drill Bit

1. Full Q series and T series drilling sizes (B,N,H,P);

Impregnated bits can penetrate a broad range of formations from the softest to the hardest rocks. They are manufactured with very small, high quality synthetic diamonds mixed evenly through a tungsten carbide matrix. During drilling the matrix wears away evenly resulting in continuous exposure of new, sharp diamond points throughout the life of the bit.

All impregnated bits have T.C. and diamond gauge protection. The optimum diamond size, concentration and matrix composition varies according to the hardness and abrasiveness of the rock formations to be drilled.

Our impregnated bits are manufactured to give optimum penetration rates and bit life, which is required to keep the cost of diamond drilling to a minimum.

Crown Height:

We could offers crown impreg depths of 8mm, 10mm, 12mm and 14mm .The taller crown heights provide improved bit stability and reduced vibrations, enhancing bit life and performance.

Waterways:
Various waterways are available for diamond impregnated bits. Differing waterways allow for better flushing in various ground conditions and drilling systems.

The choice of the diamond bit crown shape:

W Profile
Suitable for drilling hard dense formations with high penetration rate.

Semi-Round Profile
Impregnated bits with this profile are recommended for use in highly fractured formations with good drilling stability. Surface set bits of this style have a long bit life and the matrix is not easy to be damaged.

Flat Profile
It's suitable for various rocks, often used in impregnated casing bits, casing shoes as well as the bits with very hard matrices(e.g. F1, F2).

Cross Profile
It's especially designed for ultra-hard formations, such as granite (hardness 8-9), ganister, quartzite, siliceous limestone, chert, etc.

Multi-Step Profile
Multi-Step type impregnated bit are suitable for soft to medium hard formations and alternating hard-soft formations. With very good drilling stability, it makes the borehole not liable to deflection and the penetration fast. This profile is also often adopted in thick-kerf surface set core bits, with good drilling stability and fast penetration.

Shaped Gear Profile
It's suitable for competent formations, and can expand the flushing ways and improve the penetration rate.

Face Discharge
It's suitable for sedimentary and metamorphic formations, or the formations including with lots of mineral powders, this design can protect the core from flushing and improve the getting effciency of core samples.
